Formation


The worship of God is the reason we gather. It is from our worship of God that all else flows: how we learn to be disciples of Jesus for each other at St. James and for the world.

Jesus was once asked to summarize everything that was important to know. He answered we should love God with everything we have - soul, mind, and strength - and to love our neighbor as we would love ourself. This way of living - called the Kingdom of God - is what we teach and try to practice in everyday life.

Our presiding Bishop, Michael Curry, has made this his chief vision for the Church - known as The Way of Love.
