A Prayer for These Days

Grant, O God, that your holy and life-giving Spirit may so move every human heart [and especially the hearts of the people of this land], that barriers which divide us may crumble, suspicions disappear, and hatreds cease; that our divisions being healed, we may live in justice and peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. (Book of Common Prayer, p.823)

Whoever you are, wherever you are from, and for whatever reason you have searched for us online, I am glad you have found us!

We welcome anyone - no matter your church background or preference, your thoughts about God, religion, or the church - to join us for modified inperson worship or online via Zoom.

I believe that life with God and understanding what it means to live as Jesus' disciples is best done in community. It's why we gather as a church time and again.

And, yes, that gathering is a bit different these days - but we gather nonetheless in different ways and endure as the church.

I hope the information you find here answers some basic questions about St. James & the Episcopal Church. Feel free to call the church office @ 445.9845 and speak with me if you would like to know more about St. James and/or the Episcopal Church.

May God's peace be with you,

Tim Heflin
