A Prayer for These Days

O God, you made us in your own image and redeemed us through Jesus your Son: Look with compassion on the whole human family; take away the arrogance and hatred which infect our hearts; break down the walls that separates us; unite us in bonds of love; and work through our struggle and confusion to accomplish your purposes on earth; that, in your good time, all nations and races may serve you in harmony around your heavenly throne; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. (Book of Common Prayer, p.815)

I am glad that you found us on our website - and welcome!

I believe that life with God and understanding what it means to live as Jesus' disciples is best done in community. It's why we gather as a church time and again.

I hope the information you find here answers some basic questions about St. James & the Episcopal Church. Feel free to call the church office @ 445.9845 and speak with me if you would like to know more about St. James and/or the Episcopal Church.

May God's peace be with you,

Tim Heflin
