A Prayer for These Days

Look with mercy, O God our Father, on all whose increasing years bring them weakness, distress, or isolation. Provide for them homes of dignity and peace; give them understanding helpers, and the willingness to accept help; and, as their strength diminishes, increase their faith and their assurance of your love. This we ask in the name of Jesus Christ our LordAmen(Book of Common Prayer, p.830)

I am glad that you found us on our website - and welcome!

I believe that life with God and understanding what it means to live as Jesus' disciples is best done in community. It's why we gather as a church time and again.

And, yes, that gathering is a bit different these days - but we gather nonetheless in different ways and endure as the church.

I hope the information you find here answers some basic questions about St. James & the Episcopal Church. Feel free to call the church office @ 445.9845 and speak with me if you would like to know more about St. James and/or the Episcopal Church.

May God's peace be with you,

Tim Heflin
